About Us

HAS Feeds Limited fodder business started in 1987 when Mr. Haroon Abdul Sattar established Yellow corn processing plant at his Sadiqabad farm, 140km north of Lahore in Punjab. Before 1987 the farm grew wheat to support its domestic trading enterprise. Since 1987 an increasing tonnage of wheat, corn, millet and other cereal hay has been bought from other farmers for supply as HAS Feeds to overseas markets.

United Arab Emirates was the first market to which HAS Fodder was shipped. By late2000’s,HAS Fodder had become the leading brand of imported Rhodes grass in the UAE’s Dairy Industry. Exports of HAS Fodder started to Kuwait in 2011 and to Korea in 2013. HAS Fodder Limited is now the leading supplier of Rhodes grass and wheat straw to United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, as well as Qatar. In each of its markets HAS Fodder Limited has developed close and continuing relationships with leading distributors of cattle fodder. The popularity of HAS Fodder with farmers in the these countries has continued to grow to the point where HAS Fodder Limited now holds a significant share of the total market for internationally traded hay against strong competition from Alfalfa, Sudan grass and Timothy hay from the USA and Canada.

The company has maintained aggressive plant building and supplier development programs to keep pace with growing export market demand. Its second pressing plant was opened at Tando Allah Yar, Sindh, in 2011. Third and fourth plants were opened at Dipaalpur in Punjab in 2012 and at Vihari in in 2013.

Key factors underlying HAS Fodder Limited’s successful growth have been its strong focus on quality and its capacity to innovate. From the start of the hay export business top priority was devoted to ensuring consistent and reliable quality in every shipment. Substantial R&D has been used to develop analytical measures for key quality parameters. These, together with systematic visual appraisal, provide the basis for reliable grading.

Hay pressing and handling equipment designed in-house has positioned HAS Fodder Limited at the forefront of operational efficiency in the export hay business.

HAS Fodder Limited shipping and administration are centred at the company’s principle office in Karachi, Pakistan.
